Shameless Sunday Plugs 2: C&K Episode, Puppeteer Life, & Housekeeping
Hey all. Happy Sunday! This is coming way late in the day thanks to waking up really sick. I’ve been fighting something off and on for a week now and have a few posts almost ready to go, but didn’t trust my eyes to edit them properly before sending them to publish which is why this week has had so few blog posts. It was also brought to my attention some of my affiliate links aren’t working, so I’m really hoping tomorrow I can fix those issues with the site and get the rest of the week ready and set to auto-publish those posts so the posts keep going!
Without further ado, I don’t have a long list of projects to promote (just two items), but like last week I have another episode of my cemetery show, Creepy & Kooky Cali Vlog. This week I went to Mission Hills Catholic Cemetery with my friend and fellow comedian, Winston Carter. We found the graves of Bob Hope (kind of), William Frawley (I Love Lucy), Clarence Nash (original voice of Donald Duck), Ritchie Valens, and Penny Singleton (voice of Jane Jetson). We have a few serious talks about life and death but this is honestly one of the funnier episodes of the series. Winston’s warm and lighthearted nature plus good sense of humor was really easy to bounce off of and we just did a lot of silly “yes and” improv style humor regarding a game we found we could play in our conversation. So if goth and gloom isn’t your thing but you’ve been curious about the show, this is a good first episode to check out.
As you may know, I am a puppeteer and earlier this year I was hired to puppeteer in a short film (Bitmoji Man) about a man named Colman who was turned into a Bitmoji puppet. Chaos and a fever dream party ensues and this week I finally got to watch the short at its premiere party. Sadly It’s not available for the public to watch currently, but I will share once that is available. For now I just want to promote the cast because everyone was so lovely and hard working. We shot 18+ pages over 2 days, which is basically warp speed. Everyone was talented, professional, and hardworking so thank you so much for hiring me to be apart of this project!

Fun fact: I left set during dinner because I wasn’t needed for a few scenes after, so I went home to walk my dog. When I came back people were buzzing about the Abraham Lincoln impersonator who was hired to be in the party sequence and how life like he was. I figured people were exaggerating until I saw him walk by and literally forgot to breathe for a half a minute. If you think he (Robert Broski, a really lovely man by the way) looks like him in modern clothes, wait until you see him in 1860s formal wear with a top hat! I’m probably too excited for getting this picture with him-ha.
